Ceramic hones are much harder and finer than standard sharpening hones. Normally only used post sharpening.
The best hone on the market for polished (mirror) steel – wont scratch!
Ceramic hones can be used on blacksteel, polished stainless steel, or any other skate runners.
Ceramic hones are not recommended for blades with heavy burrs, nicks, or prior to sharpening.
Hone your steel prior to sharpening with the stone of your choice. Starting out with a clean edge makes a big difference.
After sharpening finish the blade off with your ceramic hone.
