- 6″ x 1″ x 1/2″
- Thin piece of cowhide leather mounted on a plastic base
Pro Tip:
Leather hones are used to remove burrs from new (or un-scratched) black steel. Once the black steel has been scratched up the leather is no longer effective for removing burrs.
These hones are great for black steel and polished stainless steel as they will not scratch the blades.
Leather hones are also used to polish the blades and leave a shinny finish.
