Blue wheels have a small chromium content and a bond additive so they hold their form well and have high friability leaving a nice finish.
If you only have one finishing head this is the wheel for you.
Blue wheels are best suited for busy shops that have many types of skates, steel, and multiple hollows throughout the day.

Always perform the ring test before installing a grinding wheel. Put your finger through the hole and suspend the wheel. Then tap the wheel with your knuckle or a screwdriver. If it rings like a bell it is good to use. If you hear a “thud” it is cracked and must be discarded.
