Pro Tip:
Blacksteel is a micro thin nano particle coated steel to make the edges extra hard.
Once the coating has been scratched it no longer works to keep burrs from forming on the blade.
These blacksteel hones are 3″ long making them easy to use and are not as soft as the gummie stones.
Hone your blacksteel prior to sharpening. Starting out with a clean edge makes a big difference.
After sharpening finish the blade off with the same blacksteel hone.
The small details will separate you from your competitors.
